Polio Vaccine

We received a letter of immunization from City Hall. The letter was written in Japanese, I have no idea what it is. I asked my husband to bring the letter in his office and ask somebody to translate it for us. The letter says we need to go to the clinic for " Oral Polio Vaccine" so I decided to bring Rein to the nearest Kids Clinic, since we know the doctor and he speaks "English" well.

I was having second thoughts because of my Migraine last Sunday night. But it's ok, Rein is my priority. When we got there the nurses who I've known from my previous visits were there trying to help and explain about the letter. Although they speak a little English and some sign language, I managed to understand what they were trying to say. Guess what????

The letter says that we should go to the "Joto Hokenjo" (Public Health Center) with corresponding dates. The vaccine schedule starts from October 1 and ends on Oct 31. They don't offer that particular vaccine in the Kids Clinic. Since we were there I asked the nurse if we could see the doctor. Although we don't have an appointment they squeezed us in even with their busy schedule. Rein's first tooth is starting to grow. She feels irritated some times. I talked to her doctor and discussed my baby's vitals, first tooth and vaccine.

I was grateful for my baby's doctor. He explained everything about the vaccine and why it was oral and not injected. He also told me to go there on Oct 4 since he will be there and he will be the one to administer the vaccine for my baby.

Developmental Milestones

7th Month
* Teething
* Says Mama and Papa clearly
* Says Lola (not so clear)
* Can hold drinking cup
* Enjoys playing Peek-a-boo
* Laughs out loud
* Stands while holding onto something
* Imitates speech sounds

My baby is anxious when she's away from me during the day, her concern will be compounded at bedtime. When she wakes up at night, even for a moment, she'll know I'm there, and will be vocal about trying to get my attention. The so-called "Separation Anxiety" is there already. Sometimes it's frustrating, I usually bring her when I do the laundry and sometimes when I'm cooking.
I know it will disappear. Only time will tell. It would be hard to teach her for now, since we share the same bed.

Back with a Vengeance.....

Hello friends!!!

Ever wonder why I'm back with a vengeance? I didn't write for 6 months, a blog addict who was able to keep out of writing for months. Do I deserve a punishment for not updating my live journal? I can still recall everything, I have vivid memories of things that happened in the past six months. And I will tell you all about it.
